Nicole Briscoe

Nicole Briscoe, a native of Illinois, joined ESPN in 2008 as host of ESPN 2’s Nascar Now, which she held for around six years before transitioning to SportsCenter as an anchor. Before becoming a sports journalist, she was a semi-finalist in the Miss Teen USA pageant in 1998, earning the Miss Illinois Teen USA title. In 2001, she finished second in the Miss Illinois USA competition.

It wasn’t until she joined Hargrave Military Academy after high school that Nicole discovered her passion for radio. She was a professional basketball player for two years before concluding that reporting would provide her more opportunities than playing in the league ever could.
