Jessica Mendoza

When Jessica Mendoza started doing color commentary for ESPN Sunday Night Baseball two years ago, many men didn’t like a woman talking about baseball. This is completely ridiculous because Mendoza was a four-time First Team All-American softball outfielder for Stanford and is one of the best analysts in the game, male or female. Mendoza doesn’t use old clichés when she talks about things. She’s a very different voice in the booth. Mendoza has also covered the women’s and men’s College World Series in addition to her job with Sunday Night Baseball. When she became the first female color commentator on an ESPN baseball broadcast in 2016, she established a new record.
