Dr. Farkanda khan has bagged Women International Sufi Visual Artist Award

I am born in Kalinger village of Banda and bought up in various cities of India. As my father was in Airforce patriotism was flowing in our blood from childhood. 

Painting I inherited by my father and creativity from mother .

Qualification from AMU Aligarh and Doctorate degree from Nagpur University .

I started my paintings from childhood .

I used to paint all about Indian culture Indian beauty and its unity in diversity.

I was also interested in dance and drama but due to shy nature couldn't come up in childhood. Which I completed after I got married. 

I did many Theater shows, films and serial, short movies beside my paintings 

As I shifted in Delhi, I was so inspired by the Sufi culture I saw in various famous places so I started educating myself to get deep knowledge of Sufi thought.

My Family also supported me when they saw my interest. Painting Sufism was a challenge as there was no much work done before. The day I heard great singer Qawwal3of Nusrat Fatah All Khan I got my path and I got flow in my fresh I found forms on my canvas and My journey of Sufi paintings started.

I did many exhibitions on Sufi paintings in different Art Galleries and I was admired and honored for my work.

I am thankful to God that I am gifted by beautiful talent so I should surrender my Art for God’s sake and keep spreading the message of peace ant humanity through superb Sufism.
