MacGregor became the CEO of French energy company Engie in January 2021.
She is the only female CEO in France's CAC-40 stock index; French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire has called it "regrettable" that there are not more women alongside her.
Before joining Engie, MacGregor lead the Technip Energies entity of the oil services sector company TechnipFMC between 2019 and 2020.
Earlier in her career, she spent 23 years at Schlumberger, the world's leading provider of reservoir identification, drilling and production technologies for the oil and gas industry.
