In 2023, I also signed up the school under UNESCO Project.

Professional Experience:

Icon Teacher 2019, Best Volunteer Award 2021, Women Innovative Award 2024 and Women Inspiring Award 2025

When I was a music teacher at SK Seri Bintang Utara, Kuala Lumpur , I trained choir , action song and performances for the VIP.  I was one of the State Music Teacher Trainers in Kuala Lumpur. I attended all kinds of workshops and training within Malaysia and also overseas.. This experience honed my skills in teaching music, training student. In 2012, my school was awarded as National Cluster School by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia. We started to organize Choral Festival, Musical Festival, Malaysia-Korea Students Exchange, ALCoB workshops/conferences and AFS Malaysia Exchange Projects. In order to achieve higher achievement and involvement in Global programme, the parents came to help and give me full support from time to time.

At school I teach music for year 4,5 and 6. I am also the Head of Panel Music and in charge of all the performances and competition locally and overseas. As the head of Music Panel, I had successfully brought my choristers to Vietnam, Korea, Singapore, Macau and Indonesia for performances and competition. Notably, I have succeed to bring up the school standard and reputation in the country and internationally. In 2024, 25 of my global classroom students successfully got into Malaysia well-known Middle Schools. The interviewers gave very good reviews for our students, these kids are different, open minded and global mindset. Despite that, they also have the leadership aura and music in-veins.

Through webcam activities, I get to know teachers and students from Turkey, Serbia, Indonesia, Russia, Philippines, Egypt, India and Korea. I also hosted a Korean teacher for two weeks. I share my projects with more schools and schools from rural area such as Sabah. I even flew to Sabah and shared my global webcam activities with 50 excellent teachers and officers in 2023. In 2023, I took in a new project which was Romania-Malaysia Sister Exchange. There were 8 of us whom are teachers from Kedah, Kuala Terengganu, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. We had our very first hosting and sending programme at the age range 45-60. In 2024, I brought 8 teachers to Japan for Teachers Trip Program and it was held successfully. In 2025, I took another 7 teachers/volunteers to Turkey for Eva Exchange.

Professional Values:  Learning runs in my veins.

After I had attended a workshop conducted by Tupperware, I was driven by the speaker and wanted to give and seize the opportunities whenever I can. This passion fuels my desire to look for more global projects and conferences. Since 2012, I had brought AFS students (a student exchange organization) to my school for cultural activities. Their presence make the students to speak more English and do more research about European  countries. In 2019, we organized Cultural Booth Competition. The competition attracted not only students but also parents and teachers. It was a very interesting and engaging competition. In 2022, I invited Korea, India, Indonesia, Philippines and Russia to join us virtually.  The response was very good and they join the event yearly. In 2022, I shared about the global classroom in the 30th MELTA Conference. Everyone was surprised and commented about the project. In 2024, we shared the project in the PBL Competition and we won 2nd Placing.

Continuous Learning: A Non-stop Fighting Leader

I am a firm believer in continuous learning. I recently completed a facilitator certification in SDG. During the covid pandemic, I attended more than 50 webinars and conferences so that I can stay at the forefront in the education journey. In 2022, I piloted a Teachers Exchange to Republic Korea and the project was done successfully. It was the first project done by a primary school teacher instead of Ministry of Education.  The participants of the Teachers Exchange are from several states and some of them are Excellent Teacher. The project had inspired the ALCoB schools in Republic of Korea as well. In 2023 - 2024, we received many schools and teachers from Republic of Korea to come to Malaysia for exchange.

Not only hosting but we also visited to Republic of Korea since 2012.  Every year the program always attract teachers and students and some of them even visit for the second time. They told me, they enjoyed the program and it is something different from Travel Agency program. Most of all, the children learn more about the culture and others culture. The program is like an opener for ‘change-maker’ and ‘leadership-maker’!!!
