Anna Cooke Kendrick (born August 9, 1985) is an actress and singer from the United States. She has received numerous honors, including Academy Award, Primetime Emmy Award, Tony Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations, making her one of the youngest people for the “Triple Crown of Acting.”
She began her career as a child actress in theater shows. She made her Broadway debut in the 1998 musical High Society, for which she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. She made her cinematic debut in the musical comedy Camp (2003) and catapulted to stardom in the Twilight Saga (2008–2012) for her performance as Bella Swan. Kendrick received more acclaim for her roles in the Pitch Perfect film series (2012–17) and the comedy-drama Up in the Air (2009), for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Kendrick has also appeared in films such as Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), 50/50 (2011), End of Watch (2012), Into the Woods (2014), Cake (2014), Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates (2016), Trolls (2016), A Simple Favor (2018), Noelle (2019), and Trolls World Tour (2020). She also sang on the soundtracks for her films and released Scrappy Little Nobody, a memoir, in 2016.
