An Aviva board member since January 2020, Blanc took over as the insurance company's CEO in July 2020.
Aviva is the UK's largest insurer with a 23% share of the UK life and savings market; it provides savings, retirement and insurance services to 18 million people.
Blanc previously served as CEO of Zurich Insurance Group, EMEA & Global Banking Partnerships.
She also has a voluntary role as chair of the Welsh Professional Rugby Board.
In 2013 and 2015, she was voted as the UK Insurer CEO's CEO of the Year.
