Katharine McPhee

Katharine Hope McPhee Foster (born March 25, 1984) is a singer, songwriter, and actor from the United States. She finished second in the fifth season of American Idol in May 2006.

On January 30, 2007, RCA Records released her self-titled first album, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, selling 381,000 copies (as of December 2010). “Over It,” the Album’s first song, charted in the Pop Top 30 and was certified gold in 2008. Unbroken, her second album, was released on January 5, 2010, on Verve Forecast Records and debuted at No. 27 on the Billboard 200. The single “Had It All,” from the album, reached number 22 on the AC chart. As of January 2011, it had sold 45,000 copies. [8] Her third album, the holiday-themed Christmas Is the Time to Say I Love You, was released on October 12, 2010. The album debuted at No. 11 on Billboard’s Top Holiday Albums chart, while the single “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” reached No. 16 on the “Billboard” AC chart. This Album had sold 23,000 copies as of January 2011. [8] McPhee’s fourth Album, Hysteria, was released on September 18, 2015.  On November 17, 2017, she released her fifth album, I Fall in Love Too Easily, which comprises jazz standards.

McPhee has also established himself as an actor, appearing in The House Bunny and Shark Night 3D. Karen Cartwright, one of the main characters on Smash, was played by her. She played Paige Dineen in CBS Scorpion from 2014 until 2018.
