Beverly Ann Johnson was born in 1952 in the USA. She is an American model, actress, and singer. In August 1974, Johnson made history as the first African-American model to appear on the cover of American Vogue. In addition, Johnson was the first black woman to be featured on the cover of Elle in France in 1975. Johnson starred in the reality series Beverly’s Full House, which aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network in 2012. (OWN). In 2008, the New York Times named Johnson one of the most important fashion figures of the twentieth century.
