
Katherine Marie Heigl (born November 24, 1978) is an actress, producer, and former model from the United States. She began her modeling career as a child model with Wilhelmina before transitioning to acting. She made her cinematic debut in That Night (1992), followed by My Father the Hero (1994) and Under Siege 2: Dark Territory (1995). (1995).
From 2005 through 2010, Heigl starred as Izzie Stevens on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, for which she earned a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2007. Heigl was also named Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the Primetime Emmy Awards. Knocked Up (2007), 27 Dresses (2008), The Ugly Truth (2009), Killers (2010), Life As We Know It (2010), and New Year’s Eve (2010) 2011) were among his notable cinematic roles. From 2014 to 2015, she starred in the NBC television series State of Affairs.
She has also established herself as a cover model and has been on magazines such as Maxim, Vanity Fair, and Cosmopolitan. Heigl has one son and two adoptive children with singer Josh Kelley, with whom she is married.
