Hope Davis (born March 23, 1964) is an actress from the United States. She has appeared in films such as American Splendor and About Schmidt (2002). (2003). She was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for her performance in the original Broadway production of God of Carnage in 2009. She was also nominated for two Emmy Awards in 2009 for her appearances in the television series In Treatment and the film The Special Relationship. She played Tony Stark’s mother, Maria Stark, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Captain America: Civil War in 2016.
