
Kristen Carroll Wiig (born August 22, 1973) is an actress and film producer from the United States. She is most recognized for her roles on Saturday Night Live (2005–12) and several other films.
In 2005, Wiig debuted on Saturday Night Live, and a year later, she starred in the comedy Unaccompanied Minors. She co-wrote the smash comedy Bridesmaids (2011) after a string of minor performances in comedies such as Knocked Up (2007), Adventureland (2009), Whip It (2009), and Paul (2011). revenue and had a lot of great feedback. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy-Musical, two BAFTA and Academy Award nods for Best Screenplay, and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Performance for the film.
